The Challenge and Goals	These days, at most celebrations and parties, especially at weddings in Japan, most (90% or higher) people carry their mobile or cellular phones. Each person attending may take their own pictures, but few of the others, especially in the case of the bride and groom, get to see all those pictures. We recognized that a system was needed to help bring all the data and pictures from all those in attendance into one central location – for all to see.
The Solution	Our team developed an application that allowed people to take pictures with their mobile phones and send the data on the spot to a central database which displays all the photos on a secure website. Each guest receives a password to access the secure website, where they can post additional photos or leave comments for the bride and groom to see and keep forever. The application works with all three carriers in Japan, including DoCoMo, KDDI/au, Vodafone/Softbank. The result is an extremely easy to use system that is fun for both the guests and bride/groom to edit and update. The best part – all those photos and comments that would have never been seen are now shared and stored to cherish into the future.
